Autumn/Winter ’18 Collection – Word from the Designer

Inspired by the British landscape but interpreted for the urban lifestyle, our autumn/winter ’18 collection is now available online. To give you an insight into this season’s range, we sat down with Sally Fender (our menswear designer) and asked her four quick-fire questions. What inspired you for this season’s collection? For formalwear, texture is so important – bringing interest and excitement to an otherwise plain-looking garment. Smarter, cleaner and more refined graphic checks and stripes in deeper, richer tones are the highlight of the range. Whilst casualwear takes inspiration from traditional country checks and is remastered in a more modern way with carefully considered rich autumnal shades. What’s new? We have designed a great suit that will still look fresh and crisp even after a day of travelling. It comes in grey, navy and black with beautiful contrast linings. It’s also the first time we have some country-style hats that are perfect for adding a dash of panache to your ensemble. Finally, there is the performance sweatshirt in four beautiful rich colors; it’s surprisingly heavy in weight and luxuriously warm when layered with your favourite shirt. What’s your favourite piece from the collection? Maybe because it’s the time of the year when you spend more time indoors and in front of the burner, but I love the navy/white star print pyjamas. They’re super practical, but offer just the right amount of fun for the festive season. And what’s the one design no man should be without this autumn/winter? Our navy and white windowpane check dress shirt is a must-have. It can be worn with a deep navy textured tie for work, or with a crew neck lambswool wool jumper and classic cords for chilly weekends.
