Best Working From Home Outfits by Savile Row

03 Nov, 2020 | Savile Row

It may have taken you by surprise at first, but working from home is something many of us have now become accustomed to — causing quite the shift in the working wardrobe.

From the best shirts for Zoom calls, to the cosiest loungewear, this guide includes all the essentials pieces required when you’re not in the office.

What to Wear When Working from Home

There are no hard and fast rules to dressing for work from home — simply wear the outfits that lift your spirits and put you in the best possible mindset for a productive and successful day. Whether that be your favourite dressing gown and pyjamas, or a button-down shirt and trousers.

To inspire you, we’ve asked some of The Savile Row Co team what they’re wearing whilst working from home.

Billy Webb, social media manager

“My ‘normal’ office attire is pretty relaxed, as being comfortable while sat at a desk for long hours is key for me to keep productivity levels high. I’ve continued this way of dressing while working from home, and I’ve found it really helps me to relax (not too much) and get in the zone.

“A pair of brushed cotton lounge pants are my first point of call, with a crew neck jersey T-shirt and mule slippers completing my stay-at-home look.”

Jeffrey Doltis, managing director

“My workwear swings from a tailored navy suit to chinos and a casual shirt, depending on what’s on the agenda — whether it be a client meeting or a catch-up with the marketing team.

“Nothing has drastically changed during lockdown, but the formal nature of my outfits has certainly been turned down a few notches. I’ll wear a formal shirt with trousers or chinos on days when I know I’m going to be on lots of Zoom calls. Swapping these for corduroy trousers and a striped ruby shirt for busy days working through reports and emails.”

Jan Obhlidal, website manager

“I’ve kept as much normality in my life as possible since working from home. Sticking to a routine and wearing what I would usually wear to the office has helped me stay focused throughout the day.

“My standard work attire includes a pair of jeans or chinos and a polo shirt, so I’ve been wearing these same classic pieces. Although now it’s getting a bit chiller, I’ve found myself reaching for a wool jumper more often than not.”
